Summer Vacation

I will take summer vacation a week from today. But I don't have a plan, yet. Because, I will go to work a few days during summer vacation. But it was canceled.

If I know to take a week, I would go abroad. Now it's too late. But it's okay. I think that I will take time to learn and go anywhere for a few days.

SIGG

Do you know SIGG?
It' a water bottle and it made in Switzerland. Recently, I knew that my brother passed me SIGG bottles.

It's very popular for Eco-friendly and there are a lot of design that cartoon's design in Japan.

I've taken a SIGG bottle to work every day. My bottle design is 'Doraemon(ドラえもん)'.

It's a taken with a D80 Nikon. It's a good single-lens-reflex camera.

My friend wedding

I went to a wedding for my university friend. Now he is a elementary school teacher. I know his student days very well. So I don't believe, he became a teacher. :P

I met many university friends such as alumni association. I enjoy his wedding and after-party.

And dishes was very nice!! There are Japanese dishes, Chinese and Western!!

Hard Rock Cafe Tokyo

I went to "Hard Rock Cafe Tokyo" with Thai engineers. When I went to business trips at Thailand, I worked with them together.

They want to go to a Japanese restaurant. I know that after I reserved the Hard Rock Cafe. We went to it this time. But they enjoyed some dishes and I enjoyed my time, too.

After enjoyed some dishes, we went to Tokyo tower.

It was very good view on Tokyo Tower. The picture below was taken at main observatory(150m).

There is the special observatory(250m), but it closes at night.

They had a digital camera each, they took a lot of pictures. They said that Tokyo is very beautiful and fun. I'm glad they likes it.

Briefing session for MBA

I went to a briefing session for a MBA on Wednesday.

I heard it, I'm concerned about 3 things.
The 1st, I don't have a background for business administration. Average age of students are late 30s and management class at a company. Can I keep up with classes?
The 2nd, There is a school on the web, so students keep working. If I keep working, Will I have any time for learning?
The 3rd, academic fee.

I thought above all these things today. After that, if I pass an admission exam.
It's my bad habit that I think a lot of things before I start.

Running

I start running last week, because I felt that my body is heavy in recent days.

When I run, I couldn't do it for 10 minutes... I shocked myself.

Passed my certification exam

Last year, I took a class for a problem-solving skill, and I completed it. This time, I passed my certification exam(経営管理指導士 ３級).

Passing the exam was a very happy occasion for me, but it is not the end. I want to do a breakthrough in my life. I think that now I come to the crossroad. I must keep learning.

Shinkansen (新幹線)

I took the Shinkansen for a business trip. It's the bullet train in Japan.
I don't know the details, but it appears to have high technology in Japan.

I often take it for business trips. The picture below I took at Tokyo station.

Nasushiobara city (那須塩原)

I've gone to Nasushobara city for a business trip and I will stay at a hotel for one night. Tommorow, I will go to Mito city.

The picture below is a good view. There are a lot of rice paddy in Nasushiobara city. I took a picture along the from the company to the hotel.

When I go to Nasushiobara city, I felt nostalgic. But I didn't know it.

I made a loan to "Comite Santa Catalina group" in Paraguay. I hope to help them succeed.

I went to Mito city for a business trip and I stayed at a hotel for one night.

The picture below is Senba lake(千波湖). I took it from my room. I could have gone, but it was raining lightly.

DREAM.4

I went to DREAM.4 on last Sunday. My brother passed me tickets, because he can't go for to work. I asked my co-worker who he like MMA (mixed martial arts).

The seats were good and good game that almost games knock out. I don't know detail but I enjoyed my time.

I watched '21'. This movie is real story that MIT's students make lots of money...

I've been Las Vegas three times. I lose second times. The third I won little. I almost played blackjack. It was not bad. But I usually lose by one arm bandits that is slots machines.

There aren't casino in Japan. But there are some gambling. Most gambling are bad probability. For example, house raise is about 25% banker's fee. This fee is pretty good for government finance.

My pc broke

My pc broke last week. I bought it about a year ago. I was shocked that I thought that I would used it for about 3 years.

My PC hangup sometime 2 weeks ago. Before it broke, I backuped my necessary data. And when I broke my pc about a years ago, I lose a lots of data. Recently I keep my data on the web.

Before I know it, my life depended internet. For example, learn English, investment, e-mail, to see news, to search information etc.

Joined Kiva

I joined Kiva and I made a loan to "Arubaine Ce Group" in Uganda to expand charcoal business. I hope to help them succeed.

I loan to them because I saw a catch-phrase 'think globally, act locally' on the net. It seems to use environment affairs. Then I've thought what I can to do. And I met Kiva. I would keep this program.

I thought that this site has some good schemes.
I could select some partner who the site writes down their activity, country and more information. If I donate to them I usually don't know what to use. But this program is different.

And I felt that the long tail effect for internet technology has huge power.

Wordbook

I make a wordbook for learning English.

Because I need to refer to my dictionary a lot when I write posts on my blog. But I don't have a chance using word of refer to my dictionary everyday. So I almost forget what word mean. I referred the same word many number of times.

I made my wordbook on Google documents. If I made it online, I can check it anywhere.

Since 578

What's since 578? It is a oldest inauguration of business in Japan (maybe world's oldest) and it's Kongō Gumi Co., Ltd (金剛組) for over 1400 years!

The work contents of this family-owned company was a carpentry that they constructed and repaired Shinto shrines and temples.

The company collapsed under huge money in debt in 2006. But now other company helped and they start a new company.

Margin Trading

I'm learning about the point of view of stock chart. I want to try it. And now, I think that Japan's market is a bear market. And I'm ready to margin trade at the securities company.

I think that I use 3 signals of stock chart.

• The 1st is MACD (moving average convergence and divergence).
• The 2nd is Bollinger band.
• The 3rd is moving average line.

But I basically think buy-and-hold strategy such as famous investor Warren Buffett.

The death of best friend

My best friend passed away yesterday.

Now, I'm waiting for the company van. Because, today is Saturday. So I reserved it yesterday, but it didn't come for 30minutes.

I'm not angry in Thailand because this is the land of smiles and "maipenrai " is mean that it's "no problem". Thai people are often using this phrase with smiles.

I called the company, a van nearly come here.

But the office is very comfortable.

I am in Thailand. Now I arrived at the hotel.

Today, I waited for the company van at Bangkok airport. But it didn't come... I was concern. I had a mobile but it didn't have a SIM card. I bought it and call my company. He confirm to SO. He call back me, he said ''van went back to the hotel, other co-worker picked up. they went to the hotel without me!!'

Oh my god!! I took a taxi and went to a hotel...

That's too bad from first day.

I'm going to go to Thailand(ประเทศไทย) for business. I'm going to stay 8 days from tomorrow.

Work on a holiday

Today, I went to work on a holiday after a few weeks. I will go on a business trip. So, I must make some handouts.
Before a business trip, I always have a lot of things to do.

But I think, did you really needs to go to work on a holiday. Why I didn't finish it on the weekday? How was my operating effectiveness? I must think about it once again.

If I contrive ways to work, it's my guess that I finish it on a weekend.

Cherry blossom shed

The cherry blossom shed this week in the Kanto area. Because there were strong winds and a lot of rainy days.

The life of cherry blossoms are short. So I think many people likes it.

In Japan, usually new term is April. This season tends to start new things.

Lefe like old age

I didn't have a holiday work for a few weeks. I spent learning investment and taking a walk on the weekend.

I talk with a co-worker at lunchtime at the office. He said that it is your life like old age... He spend active holiday surfing and fishing every weekend!

I thought he is absolutely right. It was very amusing.

Why Japanese Stock Market is falling?

Last week, I posted about the Japanese Stock market. When asked why the Japanese Stock market is falling, I thought that the reason for the credit crunch was the US subprime mortgage crisis.

I studied other reason in this week.
When US fund try to make a tender offer for a Japanese company, poison-pill succeeded by Supreme Court's decision.

In short, foreign investor thought that Japan doesn't welcome foreign capital.

桜 (cherry blossom)

When I go to work, I take a train and I usually read a magazine.

Today my friend sent me this picture by mobile-phone. So I saw a scenery from a train window and I noticed to a lots of cherry blossom. It were really beautiful.

To have room to breathe is important in our life such as seeing flower.

International Transactions in Securities

The chart below is Japan's international transactions in securities.
From 15-Mar to 9-Mar, non-residents sold about 99 billion yen of equity securities!! In this year, they were selling for weeks equity securities and Japanese Stock market are falling. It is attribute to the credit crunch by the US subprime mortgage crisis.

Almost all my asset management investment are Japanese securities. So my asset are falling too.

Business Trip

I went to Tochigi(栃木) Prefecture for business all week.

In the past month, I went on business trips for about half a month. I think that I'm going to go a lot of business trips this year.

I tend to like it for 2 reasons. The first, It fulfills my work schedule, the second, I can eat country dishes.

But I have one problem. I don't get a chance to study English or do other things. I know it's my problem.

I went to a Chinese Restaurant that I heard serves Szechuan Cuisine with local staffs.

Usually, Sxechuan Cuisine is very hot because dishes have a lot of red peppers and Chinese peppers. But this restaurant seems to change from hot to mild making it easy for anyone to eat.

So, almost dishes are good, but some of dishes were very hot for me. Chinese Restaurant were enjoyable because of their large and many rotary tables.

I went back to Japan yesterday.

I went to Wuxi(无锡) City, Jiangsu Province(江苏省), China. From Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Wuxi City it takes 3 hours by taxi.

The city is an old industry area. There are a lot of big companies all over the world.
